Come sail with us!
We are here Now you have the chance to come real sailing.
Now the boat is soon to be launched, and the first crew of six are on their way to Trinidad to join us (Mik from Grappen and Michael from Trinidad)
GrindermanWe have mostly been busy scraping the rust off of and painting the inside, but also built a few new things like a dashboard, some benches and a storage box for the aft deck. Michael is a great help, and its wonderful that he joins the cruise.
We are leaving for the Venezuelan islands now in the beginning of December. Some of the crew is changing on Aruba february 1st, and we will be in Colombia and San Blas Islands March and April.
Then we go out the Panama Canal, down to Darién and on to Ecuador. We should arrive in the end of june, and the current crew is then leaving the boat.
Are you interested in joining the longest leg of the tour—the crossing of the Pacific? Would you like to spend a season in the Marquesas, snorkeling with the mantas, living on mangos and wild fruits of the islands? Build a bamboo hut on the beach?
laVache: Thats when You come into the picture :)
Take a googl at Marquesas. It is the lushest of the Polynesian island groups, and still very little populated. Wild horses and large fruit plantations are left to nature after a time when the Marquesans where ten times more people, over 200 years ago.
We will leave Ecuador around August 1st for either Galapagos or Gambier Islands, maybe both, before the season ends and we enter the protective and calm Marquesas Archipelago.
Here you can enjoy up to 6 months of Polynesian paradise. It is out of sailing season, so we will not be much disturbed by the other boats normally crossing the Pacific.
In the spring 2012 we continue to the Tuamotu islands, and you are welcome on the continued cruise. Actually the longer you stay the better, but a two months participation is also possible.
The conditions are still the same:
- No skills required, except social skills and willingness to learn and apply. There will be at least two experienced sailors at any time.
- You must clarify your visa requirements, and bring a return ticket from where you want to go home.
- All costs such as food and diesel are shared, and the boats maintenance equals 20 Euro a day per person.
Now is chance to decide if you want to come join us, since we are also receiving responses on the ads up on the internet.
You are very welcome if you have any questions, and we hope to see you out there!
